What data we process
Account data: your email address and a unique account identifier, managed via Amazon Cognito, created when you sign up and used to authenticate you.
Device data: the identifiers, names, battery, state, and location history of any trap devices you bind to your account.
Notification data: the email addresses you add as notification recipients in Settings.
Legal basis
We process this data to provide the dashboard you've signed up for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract) and, where applicable, based on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Hosting & processors
Your data is hosted on Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt, Germany (eu-central-1): Amazon Cognito (accounts), DynamoDB (device/event data), API Gateway and Lambda (backend logic). Outbound emails are sent via Amazon SES. Device SIM connectivity data is provided by 1NCE. Each of these acts as a processor on our behalf.
Third-party services loaded by this page
When you load this page, your browser also contacts: Google Fonts (font files), jsDelivr (Bootstrap, Chart.js, the Cognito login library), unpkg (the Leaflet map library), and OpenStreetMap tile servers (map imagery). Each of these providers can see the IP address your request comes from.
Local storage & cookies
We don't use cookies. We use your browser's localStorage to remember your language choice, and sessionStorage to hold your sign-in session while you use the dashboard. Both are strictly necessary for the site to function and don't require consent under the ePrivacy rules.
Your rights
Under Articles 15-21 GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, or restrict the processing of your data, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Data retention
We keep your account and device data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and its data deleted, contact us at the address above.
